iPod Touch 5G Features and Release Date updated (Rumors)

The 4th Gen iPod Touch had moved the way of the iPod era. Obviously, the iPod Nano and Classic are doing huge sales but the iPod Touch has exactly stormed the market of standard MP3 players.

The iPod Touch 5G rumor have already begun. Apple recent held their conferences; there was this talk regarding how 2012 was going to be a significant year for Apple. Definitely – we have already got Apple iPad 3G- the new iPad and things we are expecting are many: iPod Touch 5G, iPhone 5, iTV and quickly and so forth.

iPod Touch 5th Generation release date is not confirmed by anybody yet. This year still looks extremely promising without a doubt for an iPod Touch 5G launch. Whereas the iPod Touch 4G has done very well in the market, there are fairly a only some things we’d rather expect from next iPod Touch version. Here they are:

1. iPod Touch 4G Storage:
The entire things that looked bizarre, the iPod Touch 4G’s storage capacity was one. There is an 8GB and there is one 32GB version and another one 64GB version. See this iPod Touch 4G? No 16GB. That looks bizarre still now. Why have an 8GB device rather than first the music device with a 16GB variant? We do not identify the answer.

The iPod Classic has a big 160GB storage which more or less matches the wants of the hardcore music listener with loads of albums to take. Actually, almost everybody with such a keen interest in music would obviously would like to store a lot of tracks. Main feature that we would like to see in the iPod Touch 5G would be more storage! A 128 GB iPod looks similar to a start but we are not sure if Apple has plans to make that.

2. The iPod Touch 3G / 4G Capability through MicroSIM?
Micro SIM is as usual to Apple. It had the iPad designed with microSIM capabilities. While in this time crop of iPod Touch supports Wi-Fi, it would be essential also to note the attractiveness and requirement of 3G features. The one wonderful way to be able to add 3G supports to the iPod Touch 5G would be added a micro SIM facility.

This is clear to obvious that the iPod Touch is not just a music playback device. It has grown out of that and has become a browsing device, single gaming device, and connectivity device (during iMessage and WiFi). Including 3G would only add to its flexibility.

3. Cheap Prices:
Apple Store sales price of 8GB iPod Touch 4G retails for USD $199. The 32 GB and 64 GB variants come at USD $299 and USD $399 respectively. It would be great if Apple brought a cheap pricing for the iPod Touch 5G. Sure, it looks quite possible that when the iPod Touch 5G will be finally released, Apple would also bring down the iPod Touch 4G prices.

4. Camera:
No need to say, the camera, which Apple boasts, can capture 720p HD video, does not come anyplace close to a decent understanding when you start clicking pictures. The pathetic 960x720px resolution is enough. If Apple intends to keep the camera as one of the iPod Touch 5G features, it should absolutely upgrade the camera to a decent level.

While new Apple products – iPhone to be particular – are going in the range of 8 MP cameras, it would not be too much to ask for a 3.2 MP or 5 MP on the iPod Touch 5G features.

5. A5X/A6 Processor:
The new iPad has signaled the start of the A5X and A6 processor chips, it would be eye-catching to watch how the A6 begins to make a difference in the iPod Touch and smartphones that Apple will release this year. Having the A6 on the iPod Touch 5G features looks a unbelievable idea, but with Apple, one can never guess precisely.

6. New iOS Features Incorporation:
The iOS 5 and successive releases have brought in quite a lot of functionality and apps to the scenario. It is about sure that the iPod Touch 5G will hold iOS 5.1, but would it get all the apps (like Siri and recently shown apps for the iPad 3)? It would be a huge adding to the iPod Touch if it did.

7. Oleophobic Touchscreen:
Although it seems a bit surprising that the iPhone was plainly sold with the Oleophobic tagline getting a lot of interest, the iPod Touch never really inherited the oleophobic touch, fingerprint-resistant. Having that on the iPod Touch 5G features would certainly be a boon to users who would not have to worry about dirty screens anymore.

8. More RAM:
It is important point of conflict where few users of the iPod Touch 4G have chirped in. While some argue that the present RAM is decent enough, one would also have to add in the other requirements – like more apps, upgraded OS and stuff like that. These will require a faster and capacious RAM. The iPod Touch 5G would do well if it comes with a faster RAM.

9. More Audio / Video Formats support:
The support for more video and audio formats has been a continuous thing popping up in forums and wishlists for the iPod Touch. It would be interesting to watch DivX and FLAC support on iPod Touch 5G and pretty much many other formats are out there still going unsupported by the iPod Touch. Decision regarding this is not just about technology though – one would have to think of protection and legalities also.

10. Black and White Models:
Similar to the present generation of iPod Touch, the iPod Touch 5G is most certainly going to have two variants – the black and the white model.
